Hand stitching the papers together
In this online class you will be altering and making papers for your "One Artist's Intuitive Journal," along with creating intuitively inside and out. Working with images of yourself and the things you love in you life. Plus learning about image transfers.
We will get a little more involved with this class, working with all our senses.
This class has two parts, the making of papers for the inside of your art journal and the second part is making an outside cover. I have you making the papers first so if you would like to use some of the paper for your cover you have that available to create a harmony of all the elements inside and out.
You have two different supply list one for the papers and one for the making of the cover and the collage, mixed media and art journaling segments.
I will be setting this class up in the drip formation which means you won't be able to watch and see everything at once. Process is the name of the game here. I would like you all to move into this class new visual and tactile sensations.
Sharing a personal glimpse
"One Artist's Intuitive Journal"
Art journals as these little ones are very personal, as all creative works in journals call to be. We will be forcing in on our senses, through tactile sensory elements of our souls being. The found bits, the imperfect marks, playful mismatched patterns that emerge, delighting us as we turn each page.

Process in Art
Process art is an artistic movement as well as a creative sentiment where the end product of art and craft, the objet d’art, is not the principal focus. The 'process' in process art refers to the process of the formation of art: the gathering, sorting, collating, associating, patterning, and moreover the initiation of actions and proceedings. Process art is concerned with the actual doing and how actions can be defined as an actual work of art; seeing the art as pure human expression. Process art often entails an inherent motivation, rationale, and intentionality. Therefore, art is viewed as a creative journey or process, rather than as a deliverable or end product.
